Here I am! In the blogosphere. A virgin to sharing the inner thoughts and workings of my non-professional life. I'm not even that good with Facebook, so this will surely be a challenge for me.
And the challenge I've set for myself is to create my own urban oasis. Or in the world of musicals... you might say 'Somewhere that's green'.
I'm just about to move into a new home. A home that hasn't got much of a garden. Ok, to be honest, it's a wasteland of dangerously spiky plants and that over-rated patch of hard work... or as some people call it - lawn! What it needs is some style, a sense of purpose and a big dose of that other buzzword - sustainability.
My aim is to create an outdoor entertaining space that will rival a resort, as well as a stimulating place for my two beagles to hang out in and on top of that a vegetable patch, because I'm passionate about fresh food and the locavore movement. More about that another time.
For now, I'm off to look for inspiration!
